Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Website

This post isn’t really news or editorial but rather a linking of the official website for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, an adaptation by David Fincher (The Social Network, Fight Club) of the popular Swedish novel. Based on trailer footage shown so far (embedded below), it looks to be an intense, dark and twisted story just like the novel. I’m excited. Anyways, I happened across the official website, which I usually don’t bother looking at due to how generic they are. This one, however, is surprisingly detailed and well designed. Beyond looking cool, it also has a ton of information about all of the characters in the film, the actors, the filmmakers, and so on. It’s great, and worth checking out, if anything, for the cool animations.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo stars Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig and opens 21 December 2011. It will be rated R for very intense violence, sexuality, and language, so you’ve been warned. The trailer is green lit, though:

    1. By second movie do you mean the American adaptation or the Swedish version of “The Girl Who Played with Fire?” There are definitely firm differences between the Swedish actress Lisbeth and Rooney Mara’s Lisbeth, though I like them both. American version is probably better, but that has a lot to do with Fincher’s style being generally awesome.
